And E3 is done… Kinda. Yes, I know the first proper day just happened, but after the press events, my work is mostly done, and 90% of the announcements are out of the way. It’s just impressions from here on out, which is just dandy in my book. However, Nintendo, Square Enix, and AMD all had press conferences, so I’ll just get to explaining what the blazes they were about, and what my Autistic mind thought about them. Continue reading
So, Kung Fury came out and everybody was happy with it. I personally thought it was an energetic and slightly disorganized little romp that knew what it wanted to be, and managed to be just that. It was an intensive labor of love that will likely not age all that well as the 80s children start dying out, and people wonder why the video quality can be so shitty at points. I get that it is a throwback to times of old, but while I think VHS tapes are cool and had quite a collection as a youngster, they are pretty crap when it comes to image quality. Continue reading
So, I’ve got some news to share about my upcoming Novella, as opposed to a novel that is three novellas sticked together. It is a little story of mine I dub The Vile Doohickey, which involves a group of teenage friends who find a body swapping remote. The story will come out this year, as I almost done with the final chapter, but need to edit afterwards. I am also looking into making a visual novel, but don’t plan to get started until Winter Break… where I am still working, and am going to need to type up a handbook so Santa can bring me an Nvidia GTX 970. Regardless, I have at least one more Novella I plan on doing after that, in the form of a tribute very obscure to a Z-tier Manhwa mixed with my favorite character of 2014… Yeah! Continue reading
Okay, so this whole Zoe Quinn, Phil Fish, JonTron, “Gamer” validity, Journalism Debate, thing that apparently has been dubbed #Gamergate by some dolt, which I think will result in 37 murders, 7,208 layoffs, and 72 company deaths, has been going on, and I’ve lost track of what the hell is happening. All I really gathered was in the form of 4Chan deciding to fund a game made entirely by women, and creating the character of Vivian James, who I will end up using the design of in something I have yet to properly outline. She will probably have a Di-Sword or some shit. Oh, and thanks to TotalBiscuit for keeping a calm head about the situation and making this peachy keen blog post. But let’s not talk about that and instead, let’s just talk about VA-11 HALL-A a bartending sim about “waifus, technology, and the hard lives of post-dystopia citizens”. If it was on the Humble Store and had a Steam Greenlight page, it would already have my $8. Seriously though, check it out! Continue reading
It is rather pointless for a little slice of nowhere blog with only a small number of views to do a summarization of the E3 press events, especially when they were not watching them live due to real life events, such as work. But I got home to catch the latter two, and catch up with the former before Nintendo did their event and managed to get everything done before Tuesday’s end… well after everybody and their brother did their own version of this, and often far better than my assorted ramblings that are made all the dumber by the insertion of anime screencaps. It’s Nigmabox’s third annual Super E3 Rundown!
