Rundown (10/22-10/28) A New and Less Sexual Era

So, the biggest story from the past week is probably how popular gaming forum NeoGaf went offline for the weekend after the owner of the website got himself in some major trouble.  The kind involving massive sexual harassment and what, from what I heard, basically amounts to rape.  I regularly visited the forum, mostly just to peruse the news that my usual sites miss out on and pick up on things that many outlets would not report on.  It was a very good place for information, but I and many others decided to jump ship from this site because, yeah, no, you cannot really wash away the toxicity that comes with that kind of association.  So instead I and a bunch of other people are now getting news from a successor called Reset Era.  Heh.  Cute. Rundown (4/24-4/30) I’m A Busy Little T-Girl

WhassupApologies for not getting a Hyperdevotion Noire review up.  Work, school, and family stuff all cut into the time I could put into that game.  Review should be up tomorrow evening.  Also, on May 31st I will (hopefully) release a novella I’m currently working on called Maple Loves Senpai.  It’s a story about a Japanese schoolgirl who gets absorption powers and is guided by the voice of her lover to consume people in order to transform herself into his ultimate waifu.  Many stereotypes and dark themes ensue.   Continue reading

Rundown (8/30-9/05) Metal Gear Anx!ety: Borderline Obsessive Perfectionist

0 SCD Kojima Snake Metal GearMetal Gear Solid V came out this week, and people are unsurprisingly adoring the game.  However, even if I weren’t keeping to my word to not buy the game before September 1, 2017, as to make my claim that I wouldn’t buy the game for ‘years’, I don’t think I’d be that interested.  Quite simply, the base building, open world, and ranking systems all sound like the worst thing you could do with a narrative driven stealth game.  Missions?  Fine.  But ranking and grading systems stir all sorts of bad anxieties inside my butthole. Rundown (6/16) E3 2015: It’s Over and I’m Not Particularly Happy…

And E3 is done… Kinda.  Yes, I know the first proper day just happened, but after the press events, my work is mostly done, and 90% of the announcements are out of the way.  It’s just impressions from here on out, which is just dandy in my book.  However, Nintendo, Square Enix, and AMD all had press conferences, so I’ll just get to explaining what the blazes they were about, and what my Autistic mind thought about them. Rundown (3/29-4/04) Fetal Position

0 HeroJob You Should Really pay attention to people and not hide in the sink you weird listen out of your bubblrSo, there is very clearly something going on with Zero Escape 3.  I did not bring up the countdown website as nothing had happened, but it has recently updated and Kotaro Uchikoshi tweeted out some cryptic numbers, which when gven their letter value turn into FNJANUUVNWXOXDAFXAM and KYVCFEXVJKEZXYKNZCCYRMVREVEU.  When put through a Caesar Cipher decryption, which involves the letter value being shifted by a set amount, 17 for the first one, 9 for the second one, you get the messages WE ARE ALL MEN OF OUR WORD and THE LONGEST NIGHT WILL HAVE AN END.  You know what that means?  Ever 17’s getting a re-release, and the previous two Zero Escape titles are coming to PC along with part 3… I know I got that wrong, but a girl can dream, can’t they?
