Another Thanksgiving, another Black Friday pushing the holiday out of the way, and another Steam sale to consume some of my money prior to my purchase of an MSI GTX 970 Gaming edition. What did I get? Analogue: A Hate Story, Hate Plus, Planetarian ~the reverie of a little planet~, The Sacred Tears TRUE, Armored Hunter Gunhound EX, Devil May Cry 4, Bleed, Shadow Warrior: Special Edition, Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut, Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition, and maybe something else. Yes, I buy a lot of games, look at my wishlist. Continue reading

Rundown (11/16-11/22) Pokemon is Basically a Nightmare Furnace
So, on the day after my twentieth birthday I was told that the company I work for as an office boy wants me to fill in some big shoes over my winter break from school. Meaning that instead of learning how to use Ren’py as I had planned while working on the Vivian James X Girl In My Dreams story, I will be making some money to afford that MSI GTX 970 Graphics card I’ve been eying for a while. Along with 16GB of RAM and maybe a new monitor… I’ve wanted that stuff for months, okay? Continue reading
Rundown (10/26-11/01) Either Be Productive or Be a Corpse
I’m really not sure what to say here. I guess I should say that there will be a review of X-Change Alternative this week, a title I purchased to feed a curiosity of mine that was not very satisfied. I did get limited edition Steins;Gate masturbation tissues though, which made the purchase of what will probably be my only physical PC game a bit worth it. For whatever reason I also bought X-Change 3, which is far less of a porn game then I would claim Alternative is. So I’m picking away at it and Sonic Adventure DX… What the hell do you mean by “relevant” games? Continue reading
Rundown (10/12-10/18) I’m a NEET, but Not Really…
Take an article about visual novels from a company named Overdrive, had the header mention sex, and my mind will instantly go to a track from the mashup album Katamari Da-Emcee that is a mix of WANDA WANDA and a song by the name of “Ass Everywhere”, creatively titled “butts everywhere”. While that is happening, I have a tab open containing a body swap story, paused my massive Danganronpa screenshot renaming project, am listening to an episode of The Comedy Button, which I paid for, and am debating if I should write about Arkham City, play Contrast, or work on A Vile Doohickey some more. Damn it feels good to be a Nigma, whatever the hell that means! Continue reading
Rundown (10/05-10/11) Money is the Worst Transition
If I may be honest, lately I’ve been rather busy with work and been side tracked by school, where I take classes I do not necessarily enjoy… at all really. Seeing as how I no longer spend an entire day in the same building really does lessen any sort of care I have for what I am doing there, as I’m only there from 9:10 to 13:45 two days a week, doing things I really don’t care about. I know they are simply filling out courses, but even the actual content of the class, skill of the instructor’s, site website, and atmosphere all feel like a notable step down from what I did for four years that were filled with so much free time I started this blog. Do I want to go back to that? No, not really, I mostly want to be done and start working four days a week instead of two. Because doing miscellaneous office work for people ten to fifty years older than me is far more enjoyable. That, and I get money for it. Continue reading
Rundown (6/11-6/14) E3 2014: The Mopping of Lost Souls
E3 has come and gone for the year, returning next time for event number 21 during June 15th to 18th, but that is too far away to remember. Instead, it is enough to remember everything that happened, and what happened outside of the press conferences. That is what this post is for, but it also covers unrelated events that occurred at the same time, because that’s just efficient. I am sure to be missing a lot as I fixate on the things I care about, but here are my Krimskrams of information as always. Continue reading
Rundown (6/09-6/10) E3 2014: Goodbye Despair, Hello Eighth Generation(?)
It is rather pointless for a little slice of nowhere blog with only a small number of views to do a summarization of the E3 press events, especially when they were not watching them live due to real life events, such as work. But I got home to catch the latter two, and catch up with the former before Nintendo did their event and managed to get everything done before Tuesday’s end… well after everybody and their brother did their own version of this, and often far better than my assorted ramblings that are made all the dumber by the insertion of anime screencaps. It’s Nigmabox’s third annual Super E3 Rundown!
Rundown (4/20-4/26) An Uncreative Title for an Uneventful Week
Let’s see here… Bandai Namco’s going some indie stuff? Nah. Zynga has lost a lot of market share, but I don’t even care about them as a thing. Gamestop is closing many stores and shifting more to mobile, but I am going digital from now on, so I don’t really care a hair. Battlefield 4 is still busted, even after it came out six months ago. Just Cause 3 may be a thing, yet I found 2 to be super dull. A lot of people have played Watch Dogs and its story sounds loathsomely mundane for a game with giant robot spiders. Oh, and a bunch of people dug up some old ET cartridges… Yeah, it’s been a very slow news week. Continue reading
Rundown (3/16-3/22) An Orgasmic Week With Kill La Kill and GDC
Hey, I just found myself a cool fact: Nintendo’s got 10.5 billion in the bank. Meaning their doom and gloom is totally exaggerated. Does this mean I will stop yelling at them though? Not until I get two new 3DS Metroid games, a proper Paper Mario 3 on 3DS, a more refined sequel to A Link Between Worlds on 3DS, a handheld that I actually like holding unlike the 3DS, and a team of thirty qualified professionals to help make my dream Pokemon game a reality… on PC. I’m willing to not settle for the last one. Nintendo’s problem is that they created an audience that expects so much from them. Also, GDC happened and I’ve gotten to episode 20 of KIll La KIll, so I am cooler than any of y’all cucumbers. Continue reading
