For as much as some people love criticizing them, it cannot be argued that despite faltering in numerous other areas, Nintendo is absolutely excellent at garnering excitement, hype, and fervor from its fanbase. Whenever a new Nintendo Direct happens, the excitement is often contagious, and while this does have the adverse effect of causing certain unscrupulous individuals to channel their excitement in ways destructive to themselves and others, one can argue that individuals such as them are simply inclined towards such hateful tendencies. Anyways, another Smash Bros. Nintendo Direct happened, so let’s start with that.
Well, it’s the middle of June, and you know what that means. It’s time for the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Yes, an event full of announcements, dubious trailers, and manufactured hype. I could be cynical about the whole thing, as it is ultimately one big commercial, but I always have a good time zealously devoting my attention to the event and working hours on end to provide write-ups on just about everything announced, while giving my own opinion on them and each conference. So, I am now in the weeds regarding a massive group project I have doubts will be completed on time. I am behind on my next novel, The Malicious Abigale Quinlan after some major retooling occurred. I just turned 21, and am having doubts about truly being transgender despite the fact I have already made strides in changing my voice. I should start working on my new computer within a few weeks. Also, I need to change my sleep schedule so I am in bed by midnight. Growing up is still hard. Continue reading
