Rundown (11/30-12/06) Make a Wish and It Will Demolish Your Butt!

0 GUP Let's Do This And Go Home. GrumbleI am not in the mood to write an intro right now.  I am hindered from a lack of sleep, am finishing up this semester of school, and am trying to get myself to edit A Vile Doohickey, when I keep on searching for distractions.  I’ll edit chapter five after this goes public, so… here is an unimportant blurb about two mid-sized events in the video game industry.

Rundown (11/09-11/15) Don’t Go Outside or the War Will Get You!

1 GUP War It is Hell And No People Are AliveSo, Dragon Age Inquisition comes out on my Birthday, but a combination of the price, bugs, and how I am saving for a GTX 970 ontop of the inevitable Steam sales puts it on the back burner.  Oh, and Origin, never forget about that yucky Origin!  I really do want to dive in though, but I have visual novels and some PS+ games to keep me preoccupied.  Also out of the streets, where there is always a war on.  A nice chilly one at the moment, filled with mutants. Rundown (8/10-8/16) School & Gamescom: The Circus of Ultimax Values

0 Haganai Objectively This Is The BestWell, next week I’m starting school again, and I am honestly kinda bummed about that.  Not because I dislike school or anything, as Highschool involved me going to classes with teachers I liked, doing homework in between, and then fucking off to write stuff for this very blog.  It was great.  But last year, when I began college, I was met with one okay semester, and one semester I remember nothing of, the one I remember nothing of, and learned nothing from, was my previous one.  Oh, I did learn things, such as just because a person have a form of pedigree and are a novelist doesn’t mean they can’t be a disturbingly stupid person.  Oh, and this semester I’m taking classes I’m taking for credits, and I know I will dislike the majority of the them with the other one being a class I can thankfully do with my sister, which should be kinda neat.  So in conclusion, I would rather be in High School again, even if I had to get up at seven, and have started classes on August fifth.  Just give me two days off so I may work at an office. Rundown (7/20-7/26) Press-Switch

0 Press Switch To The InternetOkay, so following a, well, a year sparse in terms of great games, at least in terms of what I’ve been playing, I both revisited The Walking Dead and visited what I dub the fifth tier of indie games, titles that nobody knows about, have little information given, and are for the majority of the cases, just bad.  Well, that’s where I stumbled onto Press Switch, a Ren’Py made visual novel that is the most overly ambitious and pandering appearing thing that effectively blew me away by offering a barrage of content, and quality stuff at that.  Now, I am naturally bias as I am part of the subset of people who are fond of transformation, gender alteration, and body swapping in terms of fiction, as if you couldn’t tell by reading my novel, The Body of Raiyne.  Yet the fact that I found something that is both a visual novel and a quality one at that is nothing short of amazing.  Downside is that the game’s choices are difficult to track, to the point where a flowchart is necessary.  It is also made from a subset of Japanese visual novels by the name of Bishop, and the creator made sure to use as much as they could from them, including several sex and masturbation scenes, some of which include rape… Yeah, not a fan of that in the slightest.  Still, third best game I’ve played in 2014 after The Stanley Parable and Persona 4 Golden… take that, game industry. Rundown (7/06-7/12) Apathetic Cynicism is the Baddest Feeling

0PGOS Bombs of outrage and angerI’m not sure what it’s been about this week, but I’ve been on edge for the majority of it.  It’s not that anything bad happened, it’s just that I’ve been playing a title that no longer makes me feel feelings akin to joy, enhanced by how I played one of my favorite games in the past few months as a break from it.  It also didn’t help that nothing much happened in the industry as the summer is a time to plow through game development for a winter or Q1 release window that cannot be changed.  Well, things did happen and were said, but none of them were that good sounding, yet I suppose that can be considered the mainstay for this industry’s news.  Or perhaps it is due to how cynical its audience has become after years of bullcrap pecking away at them affecting how they perceive a hobby they still love, but cannot see entirely past the layer of feces placed over it… or something like that.  *Farts* Continue reading

Rundown (6/09-6/10) E3 2014: Goodbye Despair, Hello Eighth Generation(?)

Fuck E3

It is rather pointless for a little slice of nowhere blog with only a small number of views to do a summarization of the E3 press events, especially when they were not watching them live due to real life events, such as work. But I got home to catch the latter two, and catch up with the former before Nintendo did their event and managed to get everything done before Tuesday’s end… well after everybody and their brother did their own version of this, and often far better than my assorted ramblings that are made all the dumber by the insertion of anime screencaps. It’s Nigmabox’s third annual Super E3 Rundown!

Rundown (3/23-3/29) I Want to Find “The Man” and Punch His Face In!

KLK Punch to the face fuck you I do not give a care because I am aweomse and you are the little shit great outfitOver the past year, or I guess 11 months is more accurate, I have been working on a novel that I originally was posting here.  I deleted those posts, edited them, and added about 130 more pages, amounting to 150-ish that I want to put on the Amazon Kindle Market.  Problem is that I do not know my tax information so it may indeed be a while until I properly post it for the dollar I need to charge for it.  I mean, it would be $0.37 if I had my way, but no…  Also, I don’t have any tax forms so expect it to take a while as I figure this shit out.
