Rundown (6/12) E3 2016: Boiling Points of Many Emotions

CookingWith a slew of leaks and early reveals out of the way, E3 has finally begun.  By which I mean that EA is holding an event outside of E3 around the same time.  The ever expanding Bethesda is getting early coverage by going one day before the press conferences traditionally begin.  While Kadokawa games, a growing publisher that isn’t even having a proper press conference, just a private media briefing…  Whatever, that’s good enough for me. Rundown (2/07-2/13) Pokemon Generation VII Coming Soon

0 P4G I have no redeeming qualities so let me just kill die like a good girlYada, yada, I should go see a psychiatrist, as I have been depressed at some point every day for the past three weeks or so. I’ve been hating myself and what I do for years now, and have been drowning my sorrows in things I enjoy for most of my life. Now I’ve gotten cynical to the point where even the idea of Pokemon Generation VII causes me to roll my eyes. Continue reading

Rundown (1/31-2/06) Yeah, This is Not Funny Anymore

come_on_guys_by_ONATSo, it was just pointed out to me that it is grammatically incorrect to add two spaces after a sentence, when I have been doing that for the past six years because one of my teachers told me so and nobody pointed it out to me. I’m also dealing with an incredible amount of hatred towards my own work and livelihood, and am genuinely considering going to see a therapist or psychiatrist. Also, this header image was made by ONAT. Continue reading

Rundown (1/24-1/30) Time Moves Forward, Nothing Changes

Laxy Nep by GebbyYeah, still not too happy with just about anything in my stupid little life…  Time to talk about the video game industry!  Also here’s the source for the header image.  The artist, Ge-B, is pretty fantastic, and you should check her out. Continue reading

Rundown (6/17-6/20) E3 2015: Video Games Were a Mistake; They’re Nothing but Trash

0 Charming

For the record, the title is just a bit of a joke on my part, as are most of my Nigmabox Rundown titles.  This E3 was pretty good as a whole, and had more diversity in general. More games of more types and there were some really nifty announcements as well.  It was a fun time that did have some industry BS, but at least it was at a lower level than it had been the past few years.   Continue reading

Rundown (6/15) E3 2015: I’m a Stealthy Little Office Lady!

Vain

You can easily decipher this title, right?

Okay, so, I am working full time this summer, for those who do not know, or just stumbled onto this post, and that means I cannot spend all day in E3 mode.  It makes my nights very hectic, as I try to pick up the piece right after getting home, but I went through Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, and Sony’s press conferences, amounting to over five hours of footage, while writing up some quick thoughts on the opinions on the video games, as I have been doing since 2012.  Without further ado, I’ll just get right to it. Rundown (6/14) E3 2015: Solid Fap Interactive Softworks

0 Gross

You are an ignorant fool if you deny the inherent sexiness of a lizard!

I really do love E3 as an event.  Well, not in regards to actually going there, as it’s an awful physical place that is hot, loud, smells like an armpit, and is so chaotic in its construction that it is hard for anybody to get anything done.  The actual press conferences are speeches to investors, casual observers, and the gaming community at large that often stir up disappointment and mockery while stirring up the needless hype the industry is built upon, but there is pretty much always something wonderful and worth talking about hidden beyond the bullcrap.  It’s kinda shitty when you get down to it, but it is so much fun to follow, especially when taking it all in with friends, or with an eye on your Twitter feed.
