Rundown (11/03-11/10) Natalie’s Not With It!

So, those who have followed my work for any amount of time would have inevitably picked up on clues that I am, to an extent, quite privy to certain concepts such as TG, body swapping, possession, and to a lesser extent whatever narratively flexible and interesting concepts that have been hued by the billowing fetish community.  But lately I feel that whatever part of me that would obsess over these things has been steadily and slowly fading away.

Rundown (9/23-9/29) No One Can Stop The Koopa Queen!

You know how they say you cannot have too much of a good thing?  Yeah, that is complete nonsense. After last week’s rundown, where I was positively ecstatic about how Bowsette blew up, it completely went wild after a while, with thousands of people “jumping on the bandwagon” and drawing their own interpretations of the character, including some especially well known artists.  Things went completely nuts once Japan found the fan art, and proceeded to turn Bowsette into the highest trending topic on Japanese Twitter, and continued to flood Twitter, Pixiv, and more with an absolute deluge of art.

Rundown (9/03-9/09) Natalie Forgets Easily

Over the past week, I decided to go through a list of the games I have reviewed since I started this blog long long ago, and I’m not sure what surprised me more.  The fact that I somehow wrote about 300 game reviews over the span of 6 years, or the fact that I barely even remember playing through so many of them, let alone reviewing them.  I mean, I legitimately forgot that I wrote a Rayman Legends review back in 2013.  My memory has legitimately been getting worse and worse as of late, and I tend to forget most things very easily.  Heck, I do not even remember a single game I reviewed a month ago. Rundown (8/20-8/26) Natalie Will Spend All Her Money!

So, I recently made my appointment for facial feminization surgery, and as it turns out, I will be using approximately all of my money outside of my IRA to pay for it.  Because of this, I will not be doing as I originally planned, and I believe referenced in a prior Rundown, and purchase a Nintendo Switch for my recuperation period.  I will also be taking a hiatus beginning in mid-December and lasting until sometime in January.  I take pride in how I have maintained a constant weekly review schedule for the past two years, but I will need to break it, on account of my face being reformed into something prettier.   Continue reading

Rundown (6/12) E3 2017: I Really Should Have Taken Off Work Today

Trying to follow E3 news while working a very busy job where the only down time I have during lunch is not very fun, and as such I have spent nearly the entirety of my evening catching up to E3 and watching what I missed.  I’m just thankful that Microsoft moved their conference to Sunday, otherwise I would have been writing until I was struggling to stay awake.  Well, more than I am when finally publishing this.   Continue reading

Rundown (2/26-3/04) Welcome to the Future, Kid

future-linkSo, at GDC this past week, some Nintendo developers showed off Hyrule Wars From The Legend of Zelda, a scrapped concept for Breath of the Wild that had aliens invading the land of Hyrule, also called Legend of Zelda: Invasion.  It’s a very peculiar concept to say the least, and featured concept art of what looks to be Ganondorf in a Metallica shirt, and concept sketches of Link in modern clothing riding on a motorcycle.  I know people are giving Breath of the Wild all the felacio its bulbous appendage can handle, but I would be far more interested in playing a Zelda game with a differing aesthetic rather than one I am am more likely to hate than love due to mechanical changes that freak me the flip out. Rundown (2/05-2/11) Time Travel Is Always a Mistake

tired-link-by-brellom…The Hero is Defeated timeline in the Legend of Zelda annoys me.  I understand the need for a timeline where Ganondorf ran free only to eventually be sealed by the seven sages without the help of Link, but there is an easier way to reach that conclusion.  They could follow the rule of time travel that, whenever something foreign enters a new timeline, it causes that timeline to split off and allows for a new timeline to be created.  So when Link travels to the future, he could end up splitting the timeline just by arriving there.  So in A Link to the Past, the hero could have just never arrived. Rundown (1/29-2/04) Simple and Clean Is the Way

So, I was directed to a three hour unscripted lecture on the story of Kingdom Hearts.  I watched it, and am almost amazed at how much the story resembles the slew of fan fiction that it inspired.  It is the most contrived and convoluted thing I have ever seen go on for this long, and I am convinced that Square Enix lacks any sort of narrative editors and that Tetsuya Nomura should never, ever, be put in charge with the story for anything ever again.  Now all of that incomprehensibility is inside me, and it will never leave.  Anyways, there’s a bunch of news this week for some reason, and now I need to talk about it. Rundown (12/04-12/10) A Mostly Two Tone Rundown

vlcsnap-2016-11-13-11h59m13s766Seeing as how Final Fantasy XV has released to high praise from critics and fans alike, I got to thinking, when was the last time a Final Fantasy game was universally beloved and saw wondrous success?  Well, the answer I came to is Final Fantasy X, a game originally released in 2001, 15 years ago.  Since then, the series never had a wholly beloved mainline release, and modern entries steadily fell into mediocrity and mockery after experiencing the height of its popularity.   Continue reading

Rundown (8/14-8/20) We Are All the Gamindustri

20160706215444_1So, I managed to revise two of my most recent stories this week, and next week I am both ending a job and attending school at a big girl’s university.  Life is going to get hard and hectic, according to my mother who never attended university.  Though, I’m not worried about that.  I am sorta worried about getting out content regularly, but I think I should be able to publish 52 game reviews this year and finish up Psycho Bullet Festival 2: Bury My Children.  Oh, and publish a Rundown every Sunday.  Header image is by NSFW artist ModeSeven.  Continue reading

Rundown (6/13) E3 2016: Your Ambition Is Irrelevant

Overstimulated

There is a lot of content to cover, so let’s jump right into it.  A rundown detailing the E3 2016 presentations of Microsoft, PC Gamer and AMD, Ubisoft, and Sony.  There’s a stupid amount of content to cover, and simply getting all of this done in one day has proved to be quite the challenge.  So let’s go! Rundown (3/27-4/02) Like A Tsundere… ?

0 20160324175445_1Jeepers am I going to have a lot of games to play this month.  Hyper Light Drifter came out on March 31st, Hunie Cam Studios launches April 4th, Danganronpa 2 is out April 18th, and Double Root: Before Crime After Days Xtend Edition is out sometime this month.  Plus a proper review of Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin should be up whenever I find time to finish that game amidst this chaos.  Seriously, this is the reason why I don’t like buying lots of games at launch.  You need to build your schedule around release dates, get 60% through a lot of games, and then stop suddenly and hopefully get back to it later. Rundown (8/02-8/08) I Would Like Some Friends…

0 Watamote The Unwanted Hug of friendhsip via mascot manSo, Comiket 88 was held in Japan this week, the week of Gamescom, and it naturally had a very spiffy showcase of Doujin games, some very meh looking, others on par with content the lower to mid tier Japanese developers put out.  However, I will not be able to play most of them because the world is still greatly divided by languages, when this shit should have been figured out years ago.  I’m not saying that English should be the default for the world, as English is a pretty poor language in my book, but I feel that everybody in a developed part of the world should be able to speak a global language as a second language, while most media would be produced in that language to maximize the audience size, and slowly weed out old languages.  Now, some people say that a wide variety of languages helps encourage differences in the world and allow people to think differently.  I say that while there may be some truth there, some things need to be sacrificed in order for the world to progress and become more understanding.  I mean, it could actually help global understanding of others quite a bit if you design the language properly and based on the pros and cons of other languages. Rundown (6/16) E3 2015: It’s Over and I’m Not Particularly Happy…

And E3 is done… Kinda.  Yes, I know the first proper day just happened, but after the press events, my work is mostly done, and 90% of the announcements are out of the way.  It’s just impressions from here on out, which is just dandy in my book.  However, Nintendo, Square Enix, and AMD all had press conferences, so I’ll just get to explaining what the blazes they were about, and what my Autistic mind thought about them. Rundown (3/29-4/04) Fetal Position

0 HeroJob You Should Really pay attention to people and not hide in the sink you weird listen out of your bubblrSo, there is very clearly something going on with Zero Escape 3.  I did not bring up the countdown website as nothing had happened, but it has recently updated and Kotaro Uchikoshi tweeted out some cryptic numbers, which when gven their letter value turn into FNJANUUVNWXOXDAFXAM and KYVCFEXVJKEZXYKNZCCYRMVREVEU.  When put through a Caesar Cipher decryption, which involves the letter value being shifted by a set amount, 17 for the first one, 9 for the second one, you get the messages WE ARE ALL MEN OF OUR WORD and THE LONGEST NIGHT WILL HAVE AN END.  You know what that means?  Ever 17’s getting a re-release, and the previous two Zero Escape titles are coming to PC along with part 3… I know I got that wrong, but a girl can dream, can’t they? Rundown (3/22-3/28) D is for Despair, Demise, Death, Desecration, Devastation, etc.

0 DR Welcome to Despair dude you will be sad and upset forever pain and agonyYes, I am sorry that I did not get up my South Park: The Stick of Truth review last week, it’s currently halfway done, and will go up late this week.  JoJo will not be reviewed until the week after, as I find it very hard to watch and properly criticize as it is like listening to a deaf person give a speech, a well written speech, but one that is pronounced so bizarrely that I honestly feel a bit bad listening to it. Rundown (1/8-1/24) The Sexually Dynamic Potato-Fish

0PGOS Homosexuality man romance gayLet’s see… how can I alienate everybody before I get around to my stupid recounting of video game news…  I think Final Fantasy XV would more more interesting if it, well, did a number of things, but just went out and said that the four main characters who are dressed like K-pop idols were all gay, and had sex with each other on the regular.  And in order to make sure not skirts dare infest their manly game where you mash buttons to do a very nice buff supplying anal, make them the subset of gay men who think that women are only good for making more gay men and more women that can be made pregnant using their glorious manly cum. Rundown (12/14-12/20) Bite off the Bitter End and Then Choke on It!

0 Watamota Soda burst Typical It Figures ObviouslyTomorrow I am releasing my seventh Novella, A Vile Doohickey.  I have been spending the past two and a half months tinkering away on it, and feel as if it is as good as it will get without another pair of eyes to help me out, and I wanted to get it out before this year’s end.  That means I have released a novella, and two novels in 2014… which is kinda crazy when I think about it.  It’s also the year where I started really working, effectively decided that I do not really care for college, and would rather work in an office for the rest of my days than learn something I will forget within six months. Rundown (9/14-9/20) I’d like Some More Game News from Japan, Sir

281301-SweryFor some reason I thought the Sony pre-TGS stream was TGS itself, but I was wrong.  As my apology, I will provide a depressing fact about myself.  There is no area in my life where I feel I can be myself beyond this blog… yeah.  I am often wracked with insecurities I shove away and ignore, but regularly uncover them and grow incredibly depressed.  Ah well, fuck it, time for video game funtimes!  Also, here’s a picture of SWERY looking silly. Rundown (6/01-6/08) E3… and Butts… I’m Tired!

VO Check out my butt in the bathWell, it’s that time of year again, where the sun rises high and slowly creeps over to the other side of the country where magic truly does exist in the form of a corporate PR event that will be jam packed with ice cream pandas and lobster men who will undoubtedly be shot by a bunch of hired apathetic day workers… Sorry, I hit my head again and those words came out.  Point it, it is Pre-E3, or Preeee! as one may call it if they started a blog post about video game news by insinuating the sun creates lobster men.  And as expected, everybody’s gushing to get their big thing in every lady’s face before the oversaturated extravaganza hits when I’m at work… guess I better get the skeleton ready for me to pin flesh onto it!
