Rundown (2/17-2/23) Tax Time Makes You Go Crazy!

So this past week I began another engagement with a CPA, wherein I aid him in various tax related activities while juggling my office job, grad school, personal time, and time spent making content for this quaint little site.  It is a side job that pays well, and is rather pertinent to my interests as an accounting major, but it also represents yet another activity that impedes my ability to go through games or work on my own projects. It’s not ideal, and this week is a particularly hectic, since I am going into my part-time job today, on a Sunday, when the office is closed, because somebody thought it would be a nice treat if I went home early on Monday.  I swear, I was mentally referencing last week’s header image for the past 5 days, stewing over how much I wish I had done everything sooner rather than later.  Garf!

Rundown (12/09-12/15) A Year with a Pretty Face

So, it just occurred to me that today, December 16th, 2018, is the one year anniversary of my Facial Feminization Surgery.  An intensive, and pricy, procedure that took me quite a while to recover from, but thanks to it I can present myself as female without getting weird looks from people, and hate looking at my face in the mirror significantly less.  Mind you, my transition is still not really done yet, as I have to take care of unwanted hair removal and the genital conversion, but those things will come in due time, and I kind of needed to save up money this year. Anyways, enough trans talk, on with the gaming news!

Rundown (1/14-1/20) Too Many Visual Novels!

In case you have not noticed, for the past few months I have been reviewing a lot of visual novels on this fair little site, with the genre comprising nearly half of my reviews since halfway through 2017.  Now, this was not really a conscious decision on my part, and has more to do with how I simply have a large number of visual novels on my list of games to review, and far fewer games of other genres.  I have a number of reasons for this, such as visual novels being less prone to disinterest me after playing them for a brief while and less likely to suffer from notable technical issues, but the point is that I am going to keep reviewing a visual novel every other week for the foreseeable future.

Rundown (9/11-9/17) My Mind Is Like an Idiot

aot-bread-food-randomSo, I’ve spent no less than a year wondering how to spell a stupidly obscure term that has been in my head ever since the Super Best Friends made it into a running gag.  The gag involves calling the titular Titans from Attack on Titan Eoten, which refers to an obscure mythological giant and cannibalistic figure that one very petulant man insists is a superior translation than the English translation the Japanese publisher provided.  However, the Super Best Friends continuously mispronounced that word as Ayoten or Iyotan making the act of researching it basically impossible.  That is what is prominent in my Autistic brain today, and now it is out there on the internet.  Yays. Rundown (8/21-8/27) Prelude to Insanity Re;Birth

Nyarko Crazy Insane Nuts NonsenseI’m genuinely worried about how I’ll be able to manage my time going forward, as I have recently begun school once more, and now lack a job where I can easily find the time to work on my stories, reviews, or weekly rundowns like these, as I just left my job for the past two years in favor of a better paying one that doesn’t have me wake up at 6:30 in the morning.  Also, I now have a friend to interact with every day.  Welcome to this crazy time indeed, hopefully I will learn how to manage the chaos of this dysfunctional system. Rundown (8/14-8/20) We Are All the Gamindustri

20160706215444_1So, I managed to revise two of my most recent stories this week, and next week I am both ending a job and attending school at a big girl’s university.  Life is going to get hard and hectic, according to my mother who never attended university.  Though, I’m not worried about that.  I am sorta worried about getting out content regularly, but I think I should be able to publish 52 game reviews this year and finish up Psycho Bullet Festival 2: Bury My Children.  Oh, and publish a Rundown every Sunday.  Header image is by NSFW artist ModeSeven.  Continue reading
