Rundown (5/12-5/18) Writing Woes

I think I’ve mentioned this before, but throughout primary school I was not allowed to take regular English classes for reasons I still don’t fully understand.  I did not really mind it at the time, but I regularly wonder if I would be a better writer if I had been permitted to take regular classes. I bring this up because I recently fell down a rabbit hole of some of my old writing on this site, and found it to be rife with minor mistakes I either did not catch the first time, or did not know any better back then.  It makes me wonder if I am still a garbage writer and will always be, or if this is just a natural creative process, where one grows to dislike the work they did a few years prior, as I have seen that mentality pop up from time to time.

Disgaea PC Review

The Disgaea series is one that I have already held at least a passing interest in, as it’s art style, humorous sensibilities, grind and growth centered gameplay, and generally playful tone all struck me as things I would love if I gave it a try. With the release of a PC port of the very first game, it seemed like there was no better time to get into the series and, um, I don’t really like it.   Continue reading

Rundown (12/07-12/13) You’re Suppose to Think Gasses Man Is a Bigot

0 Rain Transexual Transgender and all that other crap in one bitOkay, so, my next novella, A Vile Doohickey, I am aiming for a Christmas release with it.  I am nearly finished with editing, and just need to whip up some author’s comments, put it together, and post it before the 25th… And the next novella will probably take half a year to be completed, as I will need to do a lot of pre production.  Why?  I basically want to set the grounds for something where I can reuse a cast of characters in a wide variety of scenarios, all of which can be justified.  That said, I need to get everything organized, think it through five times, and do that before writing what is basically tg body horror about a young man turning into my interpretation of the Public Domain character Vivian James… Yes, I am still going to do it!
